When it comes to providing comfort, it is not the comforters job to take away the pain. So try not to say anything that would INCREASE someone's pain. Here's a link to a great blog of things NOT to say: What you shouldn't say to someone with cancerI've always admired Job. When he got seriously frustrated with his comforters he said: I have heard many such things; Miserable comforters are you all! Shall words of wind have an end?
(Job 16:2-3) If you don't know what to say to someone don't say anything, or a simple "I'm sorry you are going through this, is there anything I can do?" isn't a bad response. The blog gives a list of awful things to say. As more people join, I hope this thread will be place to share both good and bad comfort, so those with a sincere desire to comfort will learn much from this thread.

When it comes to comfort we should use proper furniture. Because our wrong sitting posture and uncomfortable chair can cause pain in the lower back. So you should choose comfortable furniture and while working you should sit in the right posture.

Julia, This thread is about providing emotional comfort rather than proper furniture. The link you posted was removed from your thread. Please don't post links which direct forum members or visitors to places for treatment. Those links will be deleted. Rick
