Prostate cancer is frequently considered an "old man's disease" appearing when men reach their late 60's and 70's. With prostate screening, the incidence of younger men in their 40's, 50's and early 60's having aggressive prostate cancer is increasing. All men should have PSA testing starting at a very young age... My recommendation would be 40 for all men and 30 for men that have had aggressive prostate cancer in a first degree family member. I realize that this is not what the medical community endorses however my family having a huge history of advance prostate cancer the above recommendations have been "suggested" to my son's. jnmjn
