What's a Kegel? A Kegel is an exercise to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, in which the levator muscles are squeezed and held for five seconds, then released for five seconds, for a number of repetitions. They are used to treat urinary incontinence. Why Should I do them?- Here's a link that explains the benefits as well as how do do them. Understanding The Benefits of KegelsHow many Kegles should I do? I've heard many different answers ranging from a few hundred to as low as 50 per day. I found 6 sets of 10 kegels per/day to work best for me. If 60 Kegels per/day is good are 240 per/day even better? Absolutely not! Performing too many will DELAY healing. Here's a link to my blog on this topic. Are Kegles A Magic Bullet? Here's a good article to read about regaining urinary control after surgery: Urinary Control After Radical ProstatectomyPerforming Kegels before surgery does not guarantee you'll regain urinary control, but studies to show there is a statistical difference between men who perform Kegels before surgery and men who begin after surgery with regard to how quickly they regain control. Believe me when I tell you, you'll want to do everything within your power to get your control back as soon as possible. Performing Kegels before surgery is one way to make that happen. If you have questions or want to share your experiences with Kegels, here's the thread to do that.

Kegels are very stupid for men... You can do 15k a day and your still fat and out of shape, both are indisputably the most important things to have under control for a healthy sexual and urinary health. Walk, jog or run to provide the lower pelvic muscle strengthening that you need... Kegels do nothing but make you sound smart.
